Why go organic?
Whilst people have been using organic and natural products for many years, a lot of people are not aware of the differences between more conventional beauty and wellbeing products and ones produced in a more organic way. In recent years, many more organic and natural products and treatments have become available and are much more easy to access with lots of high street shops stocking organic products and loads of websites with mail order services. So why go organic?
People make different lifestyle choices for a number of reasons; you might have started recycling or looking at energy saving options, you might purchase organic chickens after Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s attack on the battery chicken industry, or you might opt for herbal remedies instead of chemically created medicines. Choosing organic beauty products is another choice in living a life that is closer to nature, the environment and keeping your body the way it is meant to be.
Many beauty products and treatments contain lots of toxic chemicals; just look on the back of a shampoo bottle and you’ll see a whole array of words that make no sense to anyone except chemists. Experts say that up to 60% of what is applied to your skin could be absorbed into the bloodstream, which makes for serious re-consideration of what you’re slapping on it each day! Organic products use only or mainly natural ingredients in place of the usual chemicals. I say mainly because it is sometimes impossible to create a 100% organic product as bacteria can grow if there is water in the product, so some organic products will be made from mostly natural ingredients but will include one or two ‘non-agricultural’ preservatives as well.

In the same way that the food and drink market has switched focus to more naturally produced products and the great benefits this brings, many people are now looking to more organic sources of products for their skin, hair, nails and general wellbeing products such as scented candles and oils. This site will look at loads of different products and suppliers to bring you the best in what’s available.
Hope you enjoy the posts on the site, and make sure you add comments if you have any good tips or great product recommendations of your own.
